Not quite as much wind as in previous events, but nevertheless enough to provide some challenging racing.
Nick Kidd was in fine form with his vintage Reflex 10.25 and although he wasn't necessarily at the front all the time in every race, he was when it really mattered, ie when crossing the finish line. There was a sterling battle for places two and three between Chris Gibson, Dave Gilchrist and Andy Lacy. All except one of which were resolved in favour of Chris.
It was all a matter of sailing where the wind happened to be and catching the lifts, which made for some very cruel position changes an the wind decided, almost randomly it seemed, to fill in from the left and provide a port lift to the windward mark.
Our four juniors did well in the awkward winds. The 6.8 fleet was split evenly between Charlie Wilson and Alex Mitchell, two wins each with Charlie taking the last race and thus winning overall. Conor Wells managed three wins in the 5.5s to Andrew Robinson's one.
