Overnight details for UKWA Inlands 2 day event
at Oxford SC, Farmoor Reservoir:
The field for overnight stay at Farmoor for the Friday and Saturday nights is 500 metres south of the usual entrance to Farmoor, Gate 3. There is a sign saying “Filchampstead”, then two white cottages on the right hand side. The entrance to the field is alongside the second cottage and it will be marked by a small signpost on the grass verge.
Competitors may stay on the Friday and/or Saturday nights at a fee of £5.00 per van for one night, £8.00 for 2 nights. Please note there is NO WATER SUPPLY on the field but there are some fisherman’s toilets on the edge of the reservoir within walking distance. Water can be obtained from the sailing club during the day.
Whilst it is possible to get to the reservoir from the field it is not practicable to get your rigged gear up through the trees to the water’s edge. You will need to drive your kit up to the clubhouse itself.
Previous users of the field have upset the farmer by misbehaving so please act considerately at all times and make sure youngsters are aware of this. Our exemplary behaviour in since 2004 has resulted in our being able to use the field every year since. Please let’s keep it this way!
