The LWA is the London & Thames Valley Region of the UKWA, the United Kingdom Windsurfing Association and as the LWA and previously as the LBSA it has been in existence for over 25 years.
       Every year the LWA runs a Summer Series of some 8 one-day events and at the end of the year the Icebreaker Team Series which is composed of three one-day events and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2003. In the summer the LWA hosts two UKWA Inland two-day events.
       The LWA is run by a Committee consisting of Chairman Paul Robinson, Event Secretary Janet Pain, Junior Liaison Officer Andy Watkinson, Publicity Officer Rod Davis and Committee members Sandra and Alan Jackson.
