LWA Summer Series 2008
Final Overall Results after 6 events:

   The Summer Series proved a triumph for Rob Kent, who was 1^st Raceboard in every event he entered with the exception of Oxford when he was edged out by Paul Leone. Four points behind, on 9 points, came Chris Gibson, who has sailed gallantly all season in all kinds of weather. On 15 points, an outstanding achievement especially considering she has been sailing an 8.5m sail against the men’s 9.5, came Annette Kent, 3^rd overall and a very worthy 1^st Lady. Then there comes a jump to 24 points to Andy Lacy and Bernie Fyans, with Andy getting 4^th overall on countback and getting the 1^st Vet Prize. (It should be pointed out that Chris Gibson is also a Vet however, to give credit where credit is due!)
     Nick Kidd in 6^th place overall was 1^st Unlimited and Colin Flint, 14^th, was 1^st 7.5.
     In the Juniors, Alex Mitchell pipped Charlie Wilson on countback to take the 7.8 prize and Andrew Robinson finished 4 points clear of Conor Wells to win the 6.8s. Henry Bloodworth won the 4.5s.
     Congratulations to all the winners and our thanks to all those who took part and supported the LWA throughout 2008. Please persuade your friends who managed only one or two events this season to fit a couple more in for 2009!
